Christmas Spirit

Posted by Emma - December 18th, 2011

I'm not in it. But, ah well, I have to live through December 25th like everyone else.
_______

Oh, hey, Kim Jong Il is dead. Merry Christmas rest of the world! But wait, something doesn't feel right ... this sounds familiar (video).

That is all.

Me too mang.

Me neither. I'm sick of having to visit these people that I call my family over a consumerist excuse for a holiday. Come to think of it, they're all pretty much excuses to sell shit we do not need. Plus, it's lonely with akmeteor at base ;(

Christmas just isn't magical like it used to be. I don't mind the commercializing so much as a sense of not caring at all.

Open up your legs, I'll get you in the spirit.

For 30 seconds at least, idk it'll come and go pretty fast.

I just see the day as an extra holiday, that's all D:

It used to be my favorite one :(

I think Christmas was much more magical when I was a child.

I can relate to you in not feeling in the Christmas spirit this year. I'm not sure why that is; part of it might be the weather, as stupid as that sounds. I live in a region that always (normally) has a huge amount of snow around Christmas time, and it seems so magical, especially with lights hitting the fresh blankets of snow and illuminating it at night. It's so purdy.

This year there hasn't been snow for whatever reason, and it's irking me. Also, I've been have a not-so-great 2011 in many aspects, so I guess I just want to hurry up and have a new year begin.

Yeah we don't have snow either. I think a white Christmas would get me more in the mood but, I don't know :(. Maybe being older has heightened my expectations for a good holiday lol.

having* a not-so-great 2011. Jeesh, I need to proofread better.

Yeah, I agree with you and BananasFoster.

i remember christmas as the only day in the year to receive gifts from family.
but that was almost 11 years ago..

now i remember christmas as a day where people, family, animals or what so ever come close to make fun with the beloved ones,
or share thoughts with the hatred.

Me neither. Im just going through the motions. I'm so anticipating the day where I see all my family together. The same folks I see every doggone day. But its all good though. I guess.

And now Kim Jong Il falls, just before the entry into a new year. Such a perfect setting for 2012. It's always so interesting when this happens. December always holds surprises. New faces always emerge before the turn of the year.
So, this is the stage for 2012. Europe in chaos, Islamic Winter, Kim Jong Un. But then, as always, we are so quickly through aside, forced to face the disappointment of inactivity.
Will he prove to be interesting? Or shall he stride the same path as everything else, and bore us? We shall see.

I'm kinda hoping for the Homefront backstory to come true, just for the hell of it! This has been a huge year. I started listing all the events in April and gave up after Osama Bin Laden's alleged death.

Oh, and you have a good photographer.

What's up I'm JebbaL
