That aside, I'm curious.. you say you're into graphic design, but you 'might' post in the art portal? Why maybe -- why not go for it?? Perhaps what you have to contribute will really add to the art portal!

I'm just barely starting to post in the BBS more, and it's because I have a surplus of free time now. Probably too much free time, really. I do have plenty of hobbies that occupy me though, so this is good!

I understand what you mean. I do a lot of photo manipulation myself, but the art portal doesn't want photo-renderings, even if they've been manipulated a lot to look like much more than simple "photography." Oh well.

I hope your work goes through in the audio portal; as a flash artist, I really love the audio portal and all of the legal opportunities it offers me in the way of music! There are so many talented artists submitting music there. I hope to one day contribute, but I need to buy proper audio programs (not just Audacity, which I have now) and a MIDI switch.

If you don't mind my asking, which audio program(s) do you use? Also, do you own a keyboard and if so, what is it? I have an old Yamaha which apparently isn't the easiest to sync to computer programs.

Nope, I don't believe photography is allowed in the art portal...

..and Fruity Loops? I haven't used that, but I've used Garage Band which I really enjoy. I do appreciate Audacity for really simple things (especially for editing background noise out of voice clips, clipping audio, converting files to WAV, etc). Quick and easy.

It's a cold and lonely world here on Newgrounds, for us womankind. Something tells me that's changing a bit though with the seemingly large surplus of female users joining Newgrounds recently for some reason.

Make sure that you don't care about your scores in the Audio Portal; even if your music is really good it will get zero-bombed.
